Nancy Island Historic Site
Regarding Brown Bess
Thank you for your work on Nancy Island Historic Site’s Brown Bess. The repairs look great! The musket was very missed by the staff after the mishap last summer. Since the musket’s return from your care, it has been used countless times for demonstrations during the introduction to the Nancy video. These demonstrations and the use of the musket as a prop help to add the visitors’ experience at the historic site. One young gentleman used the musket for each of his movie introductions through until the end of his summer contract.
We look forward to using the musket next summer on a weekly basis in our children’s and family programs. It will allow our Royal Redcoats an opportunity to provide better demonstrations to the families and help imaginations as the staff line the public up for battle with our wood cut -out muskets’.
Your craftsmanship is commendable. Thank you for your time and dedication. Your in-kind work is greatly appreciated and acknowledged across the park.
